ZSNES in a cabinet - mapping the ESCAPE key to EXIT ZSNES

Post by GKB »

This is a feature request. www.screenshotarchive.com released a WIP (old) version of ZSNES that mapped keys in such a way that they could be played in an arcade cabinet (this rocks!!!). These frontends typically standardise on using the Escape key to exit the emulator. This is the ONE key that ZSNES cannot use (Esc is used as part of the GUI navigation) - it can be customised to any other key

 The request is to be able to, either via the GUI or a commandline option - to enable the Escape key to be used as the key to exit ZSNES.

With much of the GUI code having been ported to C, I don't see a problem with this idea. This might also require adding an option to change the key used to switch between GUI and gameplay.

You launch ZSNES with -m and presto escape exits ZSNES.
May 9 2007 - NSRT 3.4, now with lots of hashing and even more accurate information! Go download it.

nice but you lose the ability to right click (with "click enters GUI" on) and adjust settings. any thoughts?
also note this only seems to work if you specify a rom on the command line.
