Zsnes vpre 1.43 July 10 2005 Win input bug:
It is impossible to customise buttons for any input when they are set to "None". You have to set them to the default "Keyb/Joystick" before doing any change or it won't work (neither by clicking a key nor the "Set Keys" button). It never happened in v1.36.

Re: Input configuration bug
You're complaining because you can't set controls for a disabled input?Saten wrote:Zsnes vpre 1.43 July 10 2005 Win input bug:

Given that under the old behavior, ZSNES reset the controls when you changed from none to keyb/joystick, this is merely the removing of a useless feature.

I don't remember where, but I did see somewhere, possibly on these boards and possibly from Nach, that they did that on purpose. Like Gil_Hamilton said, you're complaining over not being able to set controls for disabled input? Set it to keyboard/joystick first and then set your keys. Plain and simple.

At first I didn’t thought of setting the input to Keyb/Joystick because I never use default buttons. In older versions you never had to do that. I didn’t know it was changed on purpose. I really thought it was a bug.

Actually, you did.Saten wrote:At first I didn’t thought of setting the input to Keyb/Joystick because I never use default buttons. In older versions you never had to do that.
If you didn't, the controls didn't work, because you configured a "disconnected pad. " And ZSNES reset the controls when you changed to keyb/joystick.
No, really, it worked fine if you left it at none. It did reset them when you changed your selection, though.Gil_Hamilton wrote:Actually, you did.

I think it would be more useful if there was a “Plugged” check box so we would just have to uncheck this box to disconnect the controller. Many emulators already have this option.
