Help

Post by Exceedingly Irritated »

I hate having to register into a forum just to get one stupid question answered. If this topic is in the wrong place, tell me where to put it. My problem is, I accidentally clicked on Maximize in the ZSNES, and now its zoomed in so far I can't undo it. Help would be much appreciated.

How can one "zoom" it so far that you can't click on the Maximize button again?
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

In my case, by clicking the Maximize button.

Try deleting zsnes' configuration files, to reset the emulator.

What video mode are you using?

zsnesw.cfg?

Would that be the one?
What video mode are you using?
Presumably the default one.

Yes, that will make Zsnes autogenerate another one.

Yep, I also just found out deleting it messes up the games and resets the controls. Thank you God for the Recycle Bin and its amazing restoration powers.

Anyway, is there a shortcut button I can hit? Some wonderful button on the keyboard that might get me out of this... predicament?

It does not mess up the games. Deleting the config files restores everything you've set to their default values, including controls, video mode, filters and other options.

I know, but I only have one problem, and I don't want to sacrifice my options, controls and other stuff to be rid of it.

It's not really that time consuming to set a new video mode, and set up your controls, since most of the other options you don't even have to touch.

I bet you would have finished configurating Zsnes by now, it's not complicated.

There is no "magic button".

Try pressing Alt-tab, it could work.

It is when you may have to find all the games again. When I deleted the .cfg file I loaded a game to make sure everything was okay, put simply, it wasn't how it should be. The text was all outlined and trash.

Actually, it seems to affect just one game. Makes some of the text far too bright, I have no idea how. I hope it's the only thing affected...

Ah. It also affects Megaman X2. When the Capcom logo comes up at the beginning it flashes red and green, just like on the screenshot above. Strange.

...

And very annoying, of course.

Switch to some other resolution and see if that helps. Also, when's the last time you've updated your video card drivers?

Print your screenshot somewhat smaller next time.
It's bigger than my screen ,which is irritating.

The 3 ways to fix this problem WOULD have been...

A. Alt-enter.
B. Go to the video menu and select a new windowed video mode, as ZSNES' "maximize" button merely toggles between windowed and fullscreen modes. Might've been made more difficult since you couldn't see the menu bar. Which leads us to...
C. Adjust your monitor so the top of ZSNES wasn't hanging off the screen and you could see what you were doing, as ZSNES still displays the control buttons in fullscreen mode.
