One way is to compare roms dumped by several different people and check if they are the same, and if they are then you may have a good dump. Obviously this is not a perfect method.

If you dump more then one copy, make sure it's not interleaved and not overdumped, then unless something is wacky, if they all match, you got yourself the good stuff.
