Can't load any rom in Netplay when connected to a friend
Here is my problem : I'm playing netplay games with friends for a long time now and I've got a new friend that would like to play too . So we can connect to each other in TPC/IP connexion in netplay and chat but whatever rom we try to load it is never found on the other side but they are in the exact same directory on both computers and he doesn't have a firewall or a router and my firewall is configured correctly to let netplay work with anyone . We're using the default port and we both have v1.36 or Zsnes and we both have Win XP . Help me please !
Remember this: Periods are your friend. Don't neglect them.
That being said, there are some things you need to mae sure of. The most important is that the ROMS must have the EXACT same filename on both sides, and be exactly the same. The easist way to do this is to have one person send his/her ROM to the other.
It doesn't matter what directory the ROMS are in. What matters is that the "LOAD" window points to the directory. So, if your rom is "C:\warez", the LOAD window must say "c:\Warez". The window doesn't even have to be open. The other person can then load the ROM as normal.
So have one person click LOAD, navigate to his/her ROM directory, then close it. The other person can then load the ROM.
If these don't work, both you and the other person should unZIP the rom.
