Zsnes problem thats driving me crazy...

alright this is my problem i have been having this weird issue with zsnes(windows version) it just closes itself and goes back to my desktop in the middle of a game with no error or anything it just closes,which is quite annoying since i just started getting into super mario rpg, can anyone help? thanks

i just downloaded the latest windows version and it crashes every time before i can even change my video mode

ok i got over the video mode problem by installing it again but it still closed to my desktop,and as for the OS question never i got this computer months ago from a family member its running win98 SE,also i had a thought, maybe its a bad rom cause i'm not sure but it seems to have only happened during 2 games i play i think and thats top gear 2 and super mario rpg i don't think it has happened on any others so i think i may just try a new rom download

yes i went there i fixed the crashing problem but it still closed itself at a random times during super mario rpg and i even dl'd a new rom and it did the same thing moments ago
