Palm ZSNES
Unfortunatly, I don't know much about future plans with ZSNES, but I had wondered if making an emulator for palm OS, or any PDAs would be a possibility. I don't know about everyone else, but bringing Chrono Trigger or some of the other classics with me to class would certainly brighten the aspect of spending another day in school. Or work, or anywhere. (You know, for those of us with handhelds instead of notebooks.)

It is not possible because the source code is written in low-level X86 Assembly language. This means that it will only run on X86 Intel-compatible processors. High-level source code (like C++, used by SNES9x) can be compiled for different processors using an appropriate compiler. Low-level code would have to be re-written from the ground up to run on another processor, that would be a monumental effort; more-so than writing a new emulator from scratch. Without years of optimisation, it would probably run slower than a simple recompiled version of SNES9x.

there is an emulator for pocketpc - morphgear works great on 624 mhz dell axim, still need about 2-3 frameskip for complex places like the waterfalls in DKC3 but most of the time it runs great. The snes module on morphgear is a free port of Snes9x. the modules u do have to pay for are licensed ports of non-free emulators. (free trial though etc...)
some of the newer sony clie machines and some newer "pocket PC" dealies actually run a version of embedded XP... perhaps grab one of those puppies, toss roms on a mem stick, and load zsnes on it and it might run?
i dunno though really, as zsnes runs fine on a p200, thats a system with dedicted graphics and sound hardware, whereas the palms usually use integrated stuff.. really chintzy stuff too... i'll have to look into it, as it seems like an interesting idea, but the laptop on the desk here works great, and all my old prof's in college cared less if we even showed up to class.. i sat there with a GBA all day heh

Running windows XP has nothing to do with using a x86 CPU.
