Transferring Files

i got a question .. i have 3 computers, and i use ZSNES on 2 of em ... is it possible to send one of the save files ( chrono trigger is the one i want to xfer ) to my other computer so i dont have to restart if someone is on the first computer? i tried it and i only was able to xfer the actual game, not the save files ... is this possiblE?

Apparently, you didn't try it.

All files transfer the same way.
May 9 2007 - NSRT 3.4, now with lots of hashing and even more accurate information! Go download it.

i attached 2 files to the email ..

Chrono_Trigger_U.zip
Chrono_Trigger_U.srm


downloaded both of em, then ran the Chrono game in ZSNES .. still didnt have the save file..

anyone know what im doing wrong or missing?

Most likely you are putting the save in the wrong place. Are you sticking them both in the same folder? Have you changed the save folder from the default?

i downloaded em both to default ran it, that didnt work, then i put the srm file in the zipped one and tried it .. didnt work .. ill try one more time

go to the CONFIG menu in zsnes.

select the PATHS option.

find out what folder the path SAVES: is pointing to.

put your .srm file in that folder.

edit: thats done, should there be a file in the ChronoTrig zip file called ChronoTrigger(US).smc ?

That could be your problem.

Chrono_Trigger_U.srm is not the same as ChronoTrigger(US).smc. You could try renaming the file to ChronoTrigger(US).srm and putting it in the proper location.

i already have the srm file in the right place .. just delete the smc then?

Earth to Mink, the SMC file is the rom image, you need it to play.

you could always share the folder where your roms are on the network...
