Sound help!
Can anyone help me? I'm having problems getting sound to work correctly with my zsnes. I'm running the win version. The sounds in the games just do not play correctly, they are distorted and sound much different than they do on the SNES. It happens in all games, but the most specific one is final fantasy 2, when you attack with the sword, or when there's an explosion. When I ran older versions of ZSNES on my previous computer (p200) the sounds played perfectly, but now they don't. I've tried every different setting under the sound options too. I have all the latest drivers for my sound card and its SB compatible. What can I do to correct this?

I don't really like doing this because it usually leads to responses of "you need to upgrade your system or get a different part etc etc." but I had zsnes running PERFECTLY on my old system of a p200 with the most outdated parts you can imagine. O well here goes:
P3 800 mhz
Windows ME
512 mb ram
SB compatible sound card
geforce 2 32mb video card
I have all the latest drivers.

Yes. I have the latest WIP version. I also have the latest SNES9x version as well with the same problems occuring.
What do you mean how do I have my sound configured? Do you mean in ZSNES? I've tried every possible combination of configurations throughout the GUI unless there is another way I can change different configurations outside of it.....

I think I know whats the problem.
Some sound drivers (e.g. MSI) have extra sound settings which allow you to do advanced configurations with them. I had a similer problem but everything sounded like it was under water. I just had to change a setting to uncheck 'Use effect' problem solved for me
.
Or
Uninstall sound driver
then
install sound driver
don't over install (e.g. its already installed, and you just pop the cd in and install it again)
