breath of fire II keeps freezing

after every battle or so the game just freezes.

It never used to do this now it does it all the time.

I deleted zsnes and all the config data, and downloaded it again, and i downloaded a totally different version of the rom just to be sure -- same problem.

possible problems?

Tis known, and somewhere in the bug reports forum, there was a workaround. Hell it still might be on page 1 in there.

Use the in-game options to turn off the music. It's a sad hack, but I think it's the only way to make it work.

Wasnt there also one about lower the percentage of execution? Cant remember the percentage though.

You should be able to fix this in zsnes*.cfg

I believe there wwas an option to do this in the gui though.

There isn't such an option in the GUI, IIRC... Because it's an option that most people don't need or care about.
