Could not set 512x448 video mode.

I've installed Zsnes a few days ago and the following problem occured to me:

Could not set 512x448 video mode.

I've already tried to run Xfree in 640x480@16/24bit but doesn't run and 512x448 isn't supported by my monitor/card.

System spec:
Linux Core Distro. (NOT FEDORA CORE!)
Geforce 2 mx440
Xfree86 installed, all requierd libs and other stuff installed!

Does any 1 have an solution?

I have *never* heard of this 'Linux Core' distribution. Ever.

A google-search brings up Fedora, and I highly doubt your claim as to your distro not being Fedora.

More like, Indiana Jones' hat == a fedora.

Fedora is a linux distribution, which is the continuation of the now-defunct Red Hat desktop edition.

But has any1 a solution?

I'm running this distro because it starts really fast 8 sec on a 500 Mhz cely. I'm using the rig as a jukebox so i don't need a user interface and stuff

and it would be fun if i could play snes games on it!
