So I've been using ZSNES 1.40 for a while, and I never really had any intention of updating... it did what I needed it to and it worked great. Anyway, long story short, my computer crashed and here I am using 1.42. I go to set my normal video screen options, controller options, etc... and everything seems to be ok. Now, when I load up a game (Say, SMB All Stars, for example) The controller responses in full screen mode seem to be delayed and extended. However, in windowed mode, it's fine.
Let me be more specific.
I load up ZSNES (and it seems to be emulator specific, as I've ran full screen emus for other systems without a problem), video set to 800x600 (DS Full or DR Full, it does the same thing on both), and I load up SMBAS. If I'm at, say the edge of a cliff and I need to tap Mario one step to make the jump, or if I'm looking at a precision jump where timing is necissary the gamepad simply doesn't work - Mario either continues walking long after I press the d-pad or the jump button simply doesn't respond in time (there's about a half second delay). I switch to 640x480 DS Win mode and the game responds fine! It's like this on every single game I try, and I can't figure out for the life of me what's wrong. I've turned on (and off) all the video filters, experiemented with possible combinations, and nothing seems to work, where, by all accounts, it should (as it has before... perfectly, I might add). If anyone has any info/help, I'd really love to hear it. Thank you.
Oh, by the way, I'm running a Dell Inspiron 8500 with 512MB Ram, Win XP Home with a Logitec Rumble Pad 2 controller.
Here's an odd one...

You hit the specs on the head, aside from an upgraded DVD+RW drive...shinrin wrote:i was looking on the net for what type of computer you have and come to figure this is your computer.. well laptop.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the video resolution being somewhat widescreen... it would make sense to overcompensate the movements to relate to the characters position onscreen...
I don't know, I'll try the WIP, but I've turned off High Priority mode for now and I'll see how that goes. Thanks for the tip.

EDIT: HP mode off seems to have had no effect, will get the WIP later today after I get some sleep...
