Need help with internet sharing netplay

i have a wirless router and my friend and i can connect to each other from our two main computers with the network card in it which both give our ip's 192.168.0.***. i have my computer with the network card run a cord to my other computer to give that internet. my ip is different but for some reason with that computer i can connect to my friends computer but he cant connect to me. any suggestions?

All on windows XP
