Chrono Trigger Problem

Post by bovis »

Hi,

I've been playing Chrono Trigger with ZSNES and I am up to the bit in the future where you catch a rat and he tells you to press the L&R buttons together and then the A button, on som computer.

I believe the computer he is talking about is on the screen down from where you catch him.

I have tried thes keys over and over but they don't do anything, I have tried changing the key configuration and it did nothing to help.

Does anyone know what I can do?

:(

The Answer is in the Documentation.
I suggest to read it.

It comes with the download.
[If you downloaded a WIP, they're betas and don't need the documentation.]

There is a special forum dedicated to the documentation, I would suggest you to take a while and read it all. Thanks, this is a known issue that isn't really zsnes' fault, it's more a keyboard limitation.

That was not his problem. He couldn't enter the because the keyboard limitation got in the way.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

Yes, if you tried to press 3 keys at a time it wouldn't work. That's why it's best to use a controller.

Well, actually, IIRC, there are some keyboards (Or were some linux versions? I don't remember) that would let you press 3 keys, even if they were letter keys.

There are Keyboards out there that let you press up to 6 keys at the same time.... but why would anyone use a Keyboard for playing games?

Poor people, or people with sucky gamepads. Both cases apply to me.

I would suggest buying a new keyboard. There are plenty that don't have this silly limitation. And keyboards are fucking cheap now.

And it doesn't have the three-key limitation? What keyboard is this? The only "nice" keyboard I could find was over $100.

I don't think it has that limitation. I never really tried, I have a controller.

The one I have was the cheapest one PC Parts sells, and it doesn't have the three-key limitation.

You have to map all the buttons to a single key.

Aerdan, you know that context-less quotes are the best
