Reset Video Settings

Post by DirtyJoe »

Hi, I'm new and I just have a quick question. I used the search function with no luck.

When trying to select the best resolution setting to run zsnes in, I selected one that my pc is incapable of viewing. Now, any time I open zsnes, it attempts to open in that resolution, and makes an error sound and closes.
I tried deleting zsnes and re-downloading it, but I didn't have any luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the folder where you have placed ZSNES, delete the .dat and .cfg files in that folder.

You could just direct people to edit the cfg file to switch the resolution. Then all the other settings wouldn't have to be modified.

For the sake of posterity and search, just edit the zsnesw.cfg, locate the line "VideoModeWin = XX" and change XX to the desired setting. There's even a handy table commented above the line to show you the available settings.
