Hamachi

Post by flowrent »

I'm in a LAN and dont have a public ip or whatever is it called.
The admin wont port forward for me..
When i go to Netplay->Internet , the emulator Zsnesw sees my ip as the one i use inside the LAN(10.10.1.23)
I install this program from www.hamachi.cc and suddenly i am given another ip by this program.Could it work???Could it replace a public ip?
I haven't tried because i have no one to play snes with...
All people i know dont play on emulators..
If you guys could try it ..maybe this is a major breakthrough..or maybe i should go to sleep...

Anyway...and now some st00pid questions.
•Does it work better if we turn the sound off?
•Both players need to have a public ip or it works with only one(which would be the server i think)

I wouldn't know, but I would ask the admin to forward the ports.

I dont know if it also works on linux too.
Test it for 2 people who don't have their own ip's and don't have their ports forwarded.
I am one who meets the requirements but i live far far away in eastern europe and the connection will suck.
Try it with one of your friends. If it works you're a genius.

IT WORKS!!!!
No more port forwarding.
I tried with someone who has a public ip and he was the server.
But it also worked with me as a server(me who don't a have a public ip nor the ports forwarded)
What can be done for more speed?
I tried to disable the auto frame rate and i got some results.
The program still needs to be tested for 2 players with non public ip ,and ports not forwarded. Maybe i will find somebody but you guys can also try.
