I don't know/care to make any Game Genie codes for FF3 for the most part. But to create cheats though (not Game Genie codes), you would have to learn to use the cheat search feature. Say you wanted to change the weapon you are using... let's assume that you want to change the weapon on the right hand.Shadow-Forever wrote:How the hell do you make your OWN codes? please tell i would love to know
i play FF3 and i need to know somegood codes that work for 1.42 ZSNES or know how to make some codes for FF3
Steps:
1) You figure out which character you want their weapon changed.
2) You start the cheat search feature...
3) You then change the weapon in their hand.. (this means equipping a different weapon)
4) Using the cheat search feature, you tell it to search for changed values..
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the cheat search feature finds a maximum of 10 addresses (ideally, you want 1, but not all games will make this easy for you)
6) Using the cheat modifier feature, enter a listed address that the cheat finder has found... try and play around with the value that is mapped to the specific address. If successful, you should be able to see a different item in that slot. If unsuccessful, try a different address and/or value.
If you spent any time looking for it yourself, the answer would be no updated FF3 codes in that document. Please take some effort to find it (Nach has his website addy listed in his profile). Alternatively, you can try to find the 1.0 FF3 ROM (and no, we will not provide a link to it, you need to google it yourself). The document with the Game Genie codes doesn't seem to have the section for creating them unfortunately (but it did exist in the original manual).is there an more updated FF3 codes? and also where does it say about making your own codes?
Well, now I just told you... I'm not going to explain it any further since that's how most cheats are found in general (FF3 is already easy enough and hacking it is also relatively easy too).okay i wwent threw it for half an hour and found NOTHING about making codes only what it supports and shit like that....CAN some one please show me threw the steps?
The Game Genie Code Creator Club (GGCCC) seems to still be around... you might find some codes that work..

Shadow-Forever, I would advise you to be a lot more patient and take your time to do things for yourself. While you usually get answers for any kind of questions related to "zsnes" here, we are not a FF3 forum. If Deathlike2 went so far to give you pointers in how to do your own codes, and you are still *not* satisfied, I would advise to search for help elsewhere. Or at least not on the specific Zsnes forums, you could try the gaming forum or something.Shadow-Forever wrote:okay i wwent threw it for half an hour and found NOTHING about making codes only what it supports and shit like that....CAN some one please show me threw the steps?
FF3 is one of the most famous games for the system, I find it pretty unlikely you haven't found codes for it on the net already. Also, lots of people have used the "find cheat" feature, so I really don't think that's the issue either.
Also, you should really read the documentation, not just with zsnes, but with any other programs you download. This is all.
.. Btw "half an hour" is not enough time to search anything worth the while on the 'net.
Now, let's return to the original topic... Whatever topic it was.

Re: Not sure about this but... a request. Don't kill me for
You know, I've actually made that request a long time ago.Bahamut_ZERO_939 wrote:I know the Game Genie can't be emulated BUT since Galoob did use a ROM which is available from most ROM archives, much like BS-X from Nintendo, why not have it able to be used like the BS-X BIOS but with a toggle to enable or disable it being loaded before the game ROM is loaded, and a Hot Key for in game switching on/off.
Not too much a request mind you and very ethical. Some codes for games will only respond to the on/off toggle and sometimes the cheat system ZSnes uses by default doesn't perform this properly. I'm not saying that I want the default system gone but a viable alternative to try out now and then.
I did mentionned that I knew it wasn't essential in the sense that Zsnes allready does what the GG did (and much more actually) but from a strict nostalgia pov,it would be nice to be able to load the GG bios, enter the code, then start the game.Just like on a real Snes.*awaits the ridiculous replies*
I haven't read the response yet, but I know most people will just say: What's the point?
If I remember corectly, the general response back then was, suprinsingly enough, not that negative:Something along the lines of: "It's not a bad idea but there is some stuff that would prevent us from making this possible even if we tried" (something about not fully understanding how the GG and Snes interact..or something like that anyway)
*Will read the rest of the thread* (Yeah I know I should do it in the first place)
You joke about it, but the suprising thing is: Nach did mentionned that he would like to have Super Gameboy emulation in Zsnes. Other than the fact that no Gameboy emulator actually emulates all the functionality of the SGB,question is why 'not' emulate it? (provided you've completed everything else in your emu, which is not the case in Zsnes)At least there were no requests lately to emulate the super gameboy.
