Don't you even get that "Error connecting to server." message? It sometimes takes up to a minute till you get any response from zbattle.

Did you have changed the server address in the ini file? If not try to change:

- Locate the root folder where "zbattle.net.exe" is installed
- Load the "zbattle.net.ini" file with notepad
- Change the option "server=current URL" to "server=www.newcon.org"

Yeah, that's exactly what it should look like. You seem to have setup everything correctly.

If that isn't the reason for your problem than I am clueless as you are...

Well, that's exactly how I configured the ports on my router. With these settings everything nessecary should be set up and you should be able to connect to ZBattle. But for some weird reason it doesn't work. These were also the settings I used with the router I had before, a DLink 514. It worked without any problems. Now I have a netgear WPN824.

Btw, I have been on the #ZSNES IRC channel before and asked for help. Nothing useful came up expect that I should make sure that my ports are really open. I got this URL: http://www.pcflank.com/scanner1.htm

The result was that the UDP port (7845) is "stealthed" wich just means it's prtected by a firewall. For the TCP port (4000) the result was that this port is closed. So I am as clever as before. Try the test maybe you get different results.

It says both TCP ports 4000 & 4398 are closed...

I should probably shut off my router for about 5 minutes and then try again.

Still isn't working.

God damn it! This is driving me nuts.

I tried turning off all firewalls and still when I hit connect nothing shows up but Disconnect is avaliable.

My TCP ports 4398 and 4000 are stealthed and they remain that way no matter what I do...
