this is not the same as most of those FFI+II remakes. I am really excited for this.

I disagree. It is in line with those remakes as nothing other than visual changes. The game will be no difficult than its Advance predecessor.

Did they change gameplay at all with the FF3 remake?

It looks nice and if they change gameplay it all, it could be awesome.

FF4 & FF6 are my favorite FFs, but I haven't been able to convince myself to play FF4 past a few hours in whenever I pick it up for some reason.

New gameplay could be an incentive.

Not a whole lot of detail of this remake is available so we'll see how it'll turn out.

now it's in 2D and 3D, and all those young fools who just picked up a DS and don't know jack can experience Final Fantasy. Other than that, meh, I'm more interested in the new FF for PSP the fighting one.

lets just hope they can take advantage of what the DS can do, look at the new Zelda and Dragon Quest pics for DS, or even Metroid Prime Hunters and Super Mario 64 DS to a certain extent.

it looks good so far, I'm weird, I actually like the Super Deformed look, go figure.

in any case SD beats femme anime or hyper realistic for a final fantasy game IMO.

don't want to buy a DS for this game alone. FF4 is my fave of the FF franchise. maybe get the soundtrack cause the music is awsome. God can't wait to see what Tower of Babil looks like in 3d.

the ds is already amazing with a great library.

there are already games that can justify a ds purcase. trauma center, mario, metroid, mario kart, hotel dusk, puzzle quest, nintendogs, ....

"don't want to buy a ds for this game alone" was probably the stupidest thing i've heard in a little while.

ha! Castlevania DOS, I know what it stands for but it just looks funny.

Oh, and we still have to see what Paladin Cecil looks like, there is hope yet, now we can fully appreciate Cecil and Rosa making out, ALL RIGHT!

I must say, Elite Beat Agents is quite fun to play. Too bad I didn't get to play much of it.

Apparently FF4DS will have some new stuff... though I get the feeling it will be botched.. since the new stuff they added in the Advance version makes Cecil sound like a douchebag (even Kain's trial seems a little out of place - the dialog leaves much to be desired IMO).

uh... big difference, advance version handled by some crappy nobody studio, they basically whored it out. Whereas the new content in this version is being handled by the original scriptwriter, so if you hated the original FFIV by all means this will suck just as bad.
