GUI+Controller

Well I recently found out that by going to GUI Options you can change it so you control the menu with your controller.

Here is my problem I dont see th point in that if you cant also exit the game to the menu with the controller so that is my question is there a way to seat a button press to take u to the menu?

Use a keyboard --> gamepad mapper like XPadder and map ESC to one of your controller buttons.

It is not complicated. Such programs allow you to assign a specific gamepad button to a key on the keyboard. Hitting the gamepad button will be treated as if "you hit the same key on the keyboard". This isn't rocket science.
