No matter what key I configure as "run", ZSNES doesn't seem to respond, but as far as I can tell, games where other keys do something at the opening screen respond... so if there is a menu, I can move up and down but I can't start the game.
I'm running v1.51, I'm pretty sure I've run it before without problems on this same computer.
"run" won't work

Ah, I'm sorry, I mean "start", the equivalent of the "start" button on the controller... I think it is working as "start" + "select", because if I hit "shift" + "enter" together a few times, I can get a game to reset... but I can't actually play any games because "start" on its own doesn't seem to respond.

There are many potential buttons to start a game with, usually Start, A, or B.
You have to try them when the game is at or done with the intro/logo sequence.
Next thing you're telling me is that you have a problem with starting FF3.

It's a commonly confusing one, since pressing start on a fresh copy acts.... odlykajuru wrote:I don't remeber any problem related to starting FF3us.
If there's no saves, it automatically starts a new game when you press start.
Unfortunately, a new game begins with the demo sequence that you just saw when you turned it on, and doesn't diverge until after the mode 7 credit sequence.
So many people assume something is wrong with emulation of FF3 because it appears to reset.
Not to mention "start" doesn't work IIRC. You press A.Gil_Hamilton wrote:It's a commonly confusing one, since pressing start on a fresh copy acts.... odlykajuru wrote:I don't remeber any problem related to starting FF3us.
