Hooking ZSNES up to my TV
How would I go about doing this? I have S-Video connections on my TV and PC video card, but what's involved in it?
just like with everything else you want to show on tv:
got a tv-out?? if not, go buy a card that has one
got one? connect that with whatever cable needed to your tv, connect the sound out of your soundcard with the sound-in of your tv
switch to tv as screen in your video settings of windows (nvidia is best for this iirc), e voila

Use the S-Video cable you mentioned.
Open Display Properties from the Control Panel and click the Settings tab.
From there, click "Advanced"
Now this is the part where it varies depending on the video chipset manufacturer or driver version. Look for a tab that allows you to switch displays. It should be easy to find.

If you have an Nvidia card, you can can get TVtool. It's a great utility for TV out control.

Speaking of which... is there a video card out there that can output the REAL Snes resolution? I'm talking real 256x224 non-interlaced here, not the usual crappy 640x480 interlaced stretched crap that all usual videocards have? I'd love to get my hands on one if such a thing exists.

If you're going to be that demanding, just go buy yourself a real SNES!

I'm not an expert on this sort of thing by any stretch of the imagination, but such a specialized resolution is almost certainly not going to be supported on any major video cards today.ShadowLord wrote:Speaking of which... is there a video card out there that can output the REAL Snes resolution? I guess you might ask somewhere else about older cards, though. I don't think anyone on this board would know the answer to that question.
