AVI recording problems

Post by AamirM »

Hi,

I recently added AVI recording support to Regen but there is a small problem with playback. When a movie is being recorded the emulator slows down and this slowness is also reflected in the final movie. I am using the vfw.h APIs. I set the framerate of the video stream to 60 but with a dwScale value of 1. The format of the video frame data is set to 320x240x32.

The recording is updated every frame. So what I may be doing wrong? Any help is appreciated.

Have you checked out the tasvideos emulators? (link) Many of them can create AVIs.

Hi,

I checked them out and they are slow too. It seems my computer is just slow to play large movies :( . But large movies created using other emus seem to play more smoothly. But thanks anyways.
