the eee PC? not alot of modern stuff
and its not running at 900 mhz to begin with., closer to 600mhz. You can overclock it to 900mhz, but do not do that for long. I own one. Its not a system for gaming.

p3... quake3 I think is the most you can do reasonalby well.

the 5300... crysis should run...
Does [Kevin] Smith masturbate with steel wool too?

- Yes, but don’t change the subject.

quake3 ran butter-smooth at 1024x768 with everything on a celeron 366 with an original geforce.
Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken.

You might be able to play Doom3 at low settings on the GF6200 PC.

The eee has an Intel graphics chip, which dooms it to failure. The particular chip I cannot find via a quick search. I'll look further, but I believe it's a GMA 950, which is around GeForce 5200 speed, IIRC.

Edit: Did some more looking, and I'm pretty sure it's a GMA 950.

Quake 3??? Don't make me laugh. Even the Dreamcast had more than enough power to handle that game.Your P3 box is roughly as powerful as an XBOX.
You can try running Quake3 on the eee, though.

Doom3 will tax your P3 machine even at the lowest settings,so try it if you enjoy watching slideshows.
OTOH,Halo 1 will run like butter :)

Here's a nifty expirament- try playing Crysis on the Eee and see how long it takes before the poor thing cries for mercy. Really- my friend's laptop tried playing the game and literally screamed, and did so for about two minutes after he forcible removed the battery to shut it off. Then again, do that once you don't need the Eee.

If you wanna see the Eee cry, just load up Far Cry :)

Loading Crysis would probably kill the poor WeeeePC. The sucker's gonna gobble up all the memory and trash the built-in flash drive. You'd be lucky just to see the title screen.

You might be able to get FEoEZ to run at constant full speed on that, but I doubt it's enough for MDH or SPL4 :P
