Live-A-Live v2.0 Deluxe

Not much else to say, really. It's been a long road but we're finally here, and from my *own* experience playing the game today, the wait was damn well worth it. I hope that you all feel the same way!

The new version includes...
-560 kilobytes of English script: Twice the size of the original translation!
-Main dialogue, menu, and battle fonts are now fully proportional!
-Each chapter now has its own unique font - even the Japanese version can't say this! Live-A-Live now sports a total of ten different fonts.
-Kung Fu names are now Chinese, not Japanese!
-Items, techniques, and equipment names expanded dramatically due to new fonts!

Ah, crap. he did send it in to RHDN.

So now there's like two news items about it unless they delete mine before it appears on the front page.

Works on ZSNES, seems to crash SNES9x for PSP while patching, which sucks for me. Extending target from 6324320 to 14680064 - then a hard reboot.

Edit - nevermind, had to deinterlace, then patch it. Working great - thanks for all of the hard work, can't wait to play it!

"Interleaved" is what you are thinking of.

Most RAWMZ sites still swear by the complete GoodXXX collection and little else.

NO NO NO NO NO

Dammit Gideon, you have this tendency of releasing translations during finals or on the last stretch of a semester, WHY?

... Good job and thanks though.

66 Complete Projects!!! Aeon Genesis is a very Powerful translation group! I later need to build an account on romhacking.net to report the bug about the Sister's towel in Metal Max Retuns.

It's a good thing, so you have some awesome expectations, sure you won't benefit immediately...

Just imagine if I wasn't too lazy to type out the full "leet warez rawmz"(filter for caps and character substitution as needed).

My friend was telling me how limited the text was in the first translation so I went to check it out. I don't normally like rpgs at all much less any kind of turn based strategy games. However it turned out a lot better then I thought. The battle system is so easy / fun and it pretty much tells you what each skill does. I like how fast paced the game is too. I would of gotten father, but the game locked up at the end of the kung-fu chapter in SNESGT. The fonts in the game kick major ass too. ;)

Mine locked up there as well - I started with it so I figured it just wasn't going to work on my PSP. Maybe I'll give another scenario a try?

For some reason, I'm stuck in the Ninja/Assassination scenario and can't figure out what to do for the life of me.

whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

Me too. I've tried the no-kill way, but I can't figure out how to get past the first guard -_-

Use the Ninja-hiding technique (whatever it's called) at appropriate times. That's what I did on occasion, although I just plow through most of the guards.

Sure, I don't think the other ones seem to have that problem. My friend already beat two of them with ZSNES. You were using that port called snes9xtyl right? I've only used it a couple of times on my psp. Glad to know it wasn't just SNESGT though.

I'll certainly have to give this game a try sometime. There are so many games for the snes, though.
