Disable Rom Info via command line in Ubuntu

Post by Medox »

Is there a way to disable the "show rom info on load" via the command line in Ubuntu 8.04 terminal?

something like zsnes -ri (disable rom info) ?
when I start my game in the terminal it doen't show me the rom info but with the same command associated for the smc files I get that rom info on load :|

Why don't you just edit the cfg file or disable it in the GUI?

because it's already disabled.

when I start a rom (stand-alone, not in the gui) from the panel, it starts without the rom info stuff but when I double-click a smc file (associated with the same command line) it shows me that rom info :|

Perhaps this may be looked into, but if it works via the command line, then you should be doing that instead since ZSNES does not facilitate, nor support a means of "double clicking" on a ROM natively.

Edit: I was informed that double clicking on the file (that has been associated) changes the CWD (current working directory), so that might be causing your issue.

I could pull it fine (on gentoo) by doing a simple file association in my file browser.

Which version are you using ?

Huh, now it's gone :?

I've played around half an hour (some hours ago) and the problem was there, I've changed command lines and tested everything 10-20 times before my first post, it always showed that rom info after double-click-ing a rom (and without it when I've used the command line with the rom location)

but now... hm... I haven't touched anything, maybe a restart, nothing more, and the problme is gone. Not bad but why not from the beginning!? without bothering myself and you guys (after) :|

Anyway, thanks for the responses and GREAT WORK :!: :!: :!: my favorite emulator 8)

p.s. maybe it's stupid but why don't you guys implement that parameter for disabling the rom info? (or to keep it disabled),,, I just love parameters for everything possible :)
