Wii Fit
Anyone else got one? I picked it up for my girlfriend when it came out and then got hooked on it myself.
I've been going to the gym 2-3 times a week for a year or so now, but the Wii Fit got me more interested in cardio and weight loss as opposed to just weightlifting and strength training. It's very gratifying to see tiny incremental losses in weight tracked on a graph every day. Even though you can't feel it, it definitely provides a bit of motivation as you can see your hard work actually doing something.
I do 15-20 minutes on an elliptical at the gym, and a workout on the Wii Fit on the off days. Combined with proper diet I've gone from 185 to 175 (6'1") in a bit over a month. Good stuff.

Try going to the gym
Or walk. Or do pushups.
All good choices really

<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

Walks are great. I've recently gotten into letterboxing, which gets me out hiking and climbing mountains and shit that I wouldn't normally do.

I trained 2 hours a day 5 days a week for many months to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. On the worst day I hiked for 12 hours straight typically drinking over 2 liters of water a day. Needless to say when I came back from that trip I was under weight. I couldn't maintain weight while I was out there.
That was two year ago. I've scaled back to a more sane workout schedules and am about 10 pounds heavier now and generally weight lift 2 days a week and do cardio the other 2. Sometimes more, sometimes less. As an adult, it's difficult to meet a strict workout schedule with all the other potentially more important things in life going on.
With that said, I have used DDR in the winter months sometimes for cardio. Video games are certainly an interesting way to keep fit. I welcome some innovation in those areas. Anything to make working out more fun. You don't always have a friend to work out with and working out can be less than fun sometimes.

Damn, that's how much I weighed when I had mono 10 years ago.grinvader wrote:Still 130lbs regardless amount or quality of junk ingested.

I weigh about 170... and should be more like 150-155. I'd probably be bigger if it wasn't for my formerly sheer awesome metabolism that's started to slow down on me as I get older.
Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken.
