So I'm gonna be at GC Leipzig this weekend...
Anyone else going?
While I'm there, anything in particular you'd recommend for me to pay attention to?

Left 4 Dead looks interesting.blackmyst wrote:anything in particular you'd recommend for me to pay attention to?
Well, it was an interesting weekend! For starters, near the end of our nine hour drive through nearly constant heavy rain, we wrecked one of our two cars. I'd never been in a crash before, it was pretty surreal to suddenly hear our driver go "shit, shit!" and see a roadsign plus various roadside objects appear from the black of night and subsequently disappear beneath our chassis.
A part of the front left of the car was torn off, and the wheel was firmly embedded within the frame. Needless to say, we were happy we only had a handful of miles left to go. The driver of the car, and its owner (two different people) were pretty upset for a while though. You damn Germans and your sudden bends out of nowhere!
Ah, the con. It was pretty good, even though I wish I could've stayed a bit longer. We were there one full day, which was enough to see everything at least once, but not enough to play as much as I'd liked because of the lines in front of everything popular. In the time I was there, I didn't see any of the games mentioned in this thread (some of them I doubt they even showed), but I did get to play Street fighter IV, Far Cry 2, De Blob, Mushroom Men, Darksiders, Chrono Trigger DS, Dragon Quest IV DS, and maybe some others I forgot. I also laid eyes on Silent Hill V, Sonic Unleashed, Starcraft 2 (which we were unable to get to for a totally retarded reason) and other stuff. And we also saw loads and loads of useless crap.
Oh, and booth babes. Glorious tiny pants and nigh invisible bikinis. I sure am glad this con was in Europe. ;D
Speaking of which, though, I wish it would've been in someplace other than Germany. With its draconian game censorship it hardly seems like the ideal place, and in fact, one of the games I was looking forward to playing most, Madworld, was not there because apparently it's not even going to be released in Germany! I asked the Sega person about it and all I got was a "we don't have that game here". Same with the new House of the Dead.

So blackmyst, who was at fault for the wreck: your car or theirs?
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?
NSRT here.

Ah, I didn't bring a camera, but my friends did, when they put up any con pics I'll link em (and, yes, photos were made of the accident too. They're pretty dark though).

Indicating that it was his car. Does it really matter, franpa?blackmyst wrote:I'd never been in a crash before, it was pretty surreal to suddenly hear our driver go "shit, shit!" and see a roadsign plus various roadside objects appear from the black of night and subsequently disappear beneath our chassis.
blackmyst, I'm glad that you're alright.
