Unbelievable. Not only PAL gamers get a game that was never ported thanks to super-shafting of said gamers in the 90s, but they also get it before the US.

Everyone in europe with any interest in SMRPG already finished it on an emu. Or is under 5 years old and doesn't really care about it yet.

Too bad he's stealing games that don't work right in emulators...

And I don't give 2 shits when or if it comes out on Virtual Console. I have an actual cartridge, as any good Mario RPG fan does(and I'm not even a big fan, I haven't touched it since I beat it).

This I have issue with. A broke european guy who loves the game and was able to play it in the first place because of emulation isn't a real fan?

It's an emulated fan, just like the real thing!

the questions below were senseless, but i'm curious anyway.
in theory, do such thing possible:

(create a program to:) convert vc roms image into snes roms image ?
or other-way around?

the vc roms image in question is which they came from snes in first place.

I've heard of programs that convert ROMS to .WADs, but....

It's more that Mario RPG doesn't work right, and never has.

Same deal with the SuperFX games(though they've started to behave something resembling right recently).

Sure I overstated things a bit, but... pbbbbbbbbth.

Speaking of the Japanese version...does anyone knows if the game will work via a passthrough (copier)? Some special chips do works (the one used in Pilotwings for example) and others definitely not (Yoshi Island and whatever SuperFX revision it uses)

So I figured not as someone explained before it won't work through a copier if it has the two extra pins things on each side...a shame because as usual, the Jp import doesn't cost nearly half as much as the US version
