I have a donkey kong game but I can't save on it. Is it due to the small battery inside the snes game?

Something like this is actually relevant to tech talk.

I bought it from Tradera, a swedish ebay. And I bought it very cheap because the quality of it wasn't very good. The image on it was ripped off and such. But it's not a pirate copy. Anybody have instructions how to change the battery?
I can always test to take a battery from another game before buying it.

Welding and soldering are two different things
also I thought those tabs that hold the battery in place are reusable?

With all the sarcasm and attacks and stuff you've been letting off lately I didn't know if you were trolling or being sarcastic.Gil_Hamilton wrote:I know that.adventure_of_link wrote:Welding and soldering are two different things

No sir, I haven't. But I thought I heard something about the tabs being reuseable? if it wasn't for SNES, it was probably some other system like Genesis, gameboy, NES, or something. I apologize.Gil_Hamilton wrote:Have you ever opened one of your cartridges?

Metal contacts are usually reusable, however it might prove tricky to disassemble and then reassemble properly.

Extreme sarcasm, maybe. But I NEVER outright troll.adventure_of_link wrote:With all the sarcasm and attacks and stuff you've been letting off lately I didn't know if you were trolling or being sarcastic.Gil_Hamilton wrote:I know that.adventure_of_link wrote:Welding and soldering are two different thingsmy bad.

I have continued to NOT spew ouotright lies and fabrications, no matter how snide I may get.
Possible exception for the Amiga Hells Yeah bit, but fuck, no one could possibly take that seriously.`
The NES and GameBoy both use welded tabs. I've seen the insides of all three of the Nintendos(there's also just not room for an alternate solution in the GameBoy's case). No sir, I haven't. Someone probably said you can reuse the SNES tabs, but it's not an idea I would seriously entertain, since you wind up soldering or welding directly to the battery, which is a Bad Idea(tm).
Maybe taping it all up ghetto-style would work, but... ewww?
