Most reporters, even non-yahoo, don't know shit about what they investigate/report.

At best it's limited to vocabulary/semantic issues. Typically it goes farther though.

Also, if it's not important enough to be known without reading about it, it usually means it's not important enough to be worth knowing anyway.

One exception to that, to make things clearer for some, are scientific publications.
