Everything broke
So, I'm srs bsnss
Here goes.
First off, my dogs had a huge fight and we dumped water all over my cable box so it got fried along with my keyboard. As well as where the dogs are staying in the house, everything got rearranged.
So technically the dogs normalcy was broken.
And for the sake of the post, my stepdad's thumbnail and my mom's skin was also broken.
Then when I got a new cable box, I had to re-activate it.
So suddenly, my Windows XP installation broke. Half of every service decided lol Im just not that into you and decided not to work anymore. Then the whole installation went BOOYAH on itself.
So also the hair dryer within this time span decided to shoot an arc of lightning and now my hair dryer is overclocked and gets super hot.
And then my toilet broke and we had to use water in a pitcher to flush for a while.
Then I installed Windows Server 2008 and suddenly my whole PC decided it would go bonkers, so after much disassembling and reassembling we ended up
Putting new thermal paste on my celeron (never done it before lol but after cleaning off the old grease and remembering some videos I watched my mom properly re-set the heatsink and my CPU is cooler than ever)
Putting new thermal paste on my gpu (old paste was nasty)
Which came about because my heatsink on my 6800 GT, it's plastic fans cracked, so we superglued them, and then buffed them out while it was running (lol brave)
Then we found out my memory errors I was having (after deduction) was neither IDE nor SATA related (since nothing booted from either) nor was it a CD/DVD drive (also problematic) but after removing my second stick of RAM that we were in business
Afterwards when replacing it, and getting the glitches again, we reinstalled my stick to the third DIMM and now I have my two gigs back, a cleaner cooler cpu and gpu, and such
also a pci graphics card I did not have materilized in my bag of agp cards and was here to get me through my time of need whilst trying to rebuild a P3 and a smaller 533 mhz celeron while my 2.6 ghz celeron was out of commish due to our lack of knowing that the dimm was blown
now my server 2k8 workstation installation is fully installed, clean, and backed up
the hair dryer works better than ever since its now hotter lol, no more lightning arcs
the toilet got fixed and flushes better
the coinstar broke on my mom while she was at the store this morning
and my mom's car has a short and is blowing fuses left and right
so yes, everything broke
edit; unrelated desktop screenshot, Ive never had vista but its working out now that I set it up, and Im actually impressed, any tips

Just another example of Murphy's Law at work.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

edit; got my sata back up pretty much flawless, turns out its just my sucky motherboard (I cant afford PC parts right now, so this machine is a local oem case with a crappy msi/via motherboard setup, an old'd 6800 GT Ive had forever and the 2.6 ghz celeron)
so yeah if you turn on core cell dynamic overclocked your via raid controller goes LAWLWLWL
also this means Im going to plug up my other sata later tonight and see what happens.
in other news, at least Im not gonna get destroyed tonight for losing a terabyte of data lol, I need moar space it is apparent
also this pc is so engrish, the boot logo says "Core Cell Chip you've ever needed" and I get a common one everyone else is getting with the infamous via raid
"the bios does not be installed"
mmm, but that got fixed when I turned useless overclocking off
2.6 is good enough, 2.7 doesnt change much lmao honestly

Re: Everything broke
When I read that the first time, my brain didn't register the word "dryer".gllt wrote: now my hair dryer is overclocked and gets super hot.

My old BIOS was pretty engrish as well: "Press TAB key in to user menu" or something on the RAID screen. Then the descriptions in the settings menu on this are written about as well. I've been having similar annoying problems with trying to set up gentoo 64 bit. Less hardware and more just being stupid, except the overheating wireless which stabilized once I opened the window and took the side off my case. Why it started to overheat suddenly is beyond me.
