I've been using my Sony Dualshock 1 controller with ZSNES successfully for quite some time now via a PSX/2-USB adapter, and I tried instead using my Sony Dualshock 2 controller today...but it's not working.
I plugged in the controller, launched ZSNES, opened the CONFIG menu, and opened the INPUT window. From there, under the #1 tab, I selected 'keyboard/gamepad,' and hit the SET KEYS button. The purple window popped up as normal, asking me to press the button to use for UP on my controller, but when I did, ZSNES didn't respond. I tried hitting each button on the controller to no avail. I also tried exiting and re-launching ZSNES, but that didn't help either.
Am I doing something wrong (I can't see how, as this is the exact same way I set up my Dualshock 1 controller)? Are there known issues with the Dualshock 2?
Sony Dualshock 2 vs. Dualshock 1 compatibility?

Blame your adapter, not the controller (unless, you know, there's something truly wrong with the DualShock2 controller you have). I've had no problems using a DualShock2 controller in ZSNES the last time I tried - which was a long time ago, but still.
