Hot key's for cheats!

Post by youthanasia138 »

I wish there were hot key's for the cheat options so I wouldn't have to stop playing and open the cheat menu every time I need to enable or disable a cheat. Is there an option for this? or am I just not looking hard enough?

There is no option for this.

A problem would be knowing which codes to enable/disable with such a hotkey - some codes can freeze a game if you activate them at the wrong time, so a 'enable/disable all' toggle is asking for trouble.
Several codes can also conflict with each other.

I think he wants to be able to assign keys to each and every individual cheat code, not all or none.

enable all is fine with me. I want to be able to assign it to my gamepad so I don't have to stop gameplay to toggle the cheats.

The best way I've found is to have individual toggles not bound to specific keys (that's just crazy), and then have a global "enable cheat code system" toggle that can be bound to any key.

Eg say you have:
[ on ] infinite lives
[ off ] infinite health
Toggling the global one would either turn it all off, or turn on only infinite lives; but never the (potentially dangerous) infinite health.

Used that to play through Dracula X, damn lazy "search for cheat codes" function results in shit-quality $7exxxx cheat codes that always lock up games between levels.

Toggle system off right after killing boss, back on at next level start. Bleh.

.... I wish I understood more of what you are trying to get across here.
Can you elaborate more?

actualy for 'hotkeys' purpose like that, i simply use artmoney.
but then again, artmoney doesn't accept gamepad or stuff.
