FFIII crashes ZSNES

Post by Midashand »

In the latter part of the game.... you are going through some woods. (I beleive it is toward the base at the mouth of the esper cave)

Anyways, there is this one spot in the woods.
when you first enter the stage, you automatically walk to a healing spring. then you head to the other side of the stage.... HOwever, when you have a random encounter in this stage, it crashes ZSNES.

I dont know if its my ROM version, the ZSNES version, an abnoraml alignment of the planets, or what.....

I got around this once, a LONG time ago but can't remember how i did it....

I searched but i couldn't find a thread on this.... I just need to know if this has been fixed in any of the new versions before i download it......

Post NSRT output or the contents of rominfo.txt after you've run FF3.

What version of ZSNES are you using? Use 1.41, please.

whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

I would like a savestate also before this happens or at least a SRM, both would be good. This is the second time this has been reported and I would like to know why this game is crashing now when it didn't before.

I couldn't figure out how to get those files requested first.... But i went ahead and downloaded the newest version and it works fine now....

And the location in game was in the haunted woods right before the ghost train... I dont know why i thought it was end game somewhere....

ANyways, I had like version 1.17 or something with Windows port 0.80... so it was pretty old....

I can still upload the savestate if you want....

I remember back in those days that phantom train bug was reported constantly (probably impossible to count the number of times).

Haha...blast from the past.
