thats helpfull not i just wanted to know where i can get games but people are telling me that i broke rules and i didnt even know it so sorry i just wanted games

There are promintently posted rules at the entrance to this board, IF you came from zsnes.com. In fact, the rules are presented TWICE from the link.

Also, IN THIS VERY TOPIC, there is a stickied thread entitled "Announcement: Where to download games/roms".

Anyway, you're probably already banned by now. Learn a little more about emulation, and be more conscientious when you post.

Just a quick question...

I am going to assume that any (PD) roms are legal to distribute. Why not make a quick page with some or all Public Domain roms on it for the people who ask where they can download roms? Then again should we really reward people who don't read the rules?

The main reason is that most "PD" roms are not indeed in the public domain. One could argue that Anthrox re-created many NES games such that they could be played on snes hardware, but one could not justly call those public domain games. Neither could one call something like the single screen Sonic demo a public domain rom image, as it incorporates a copyrighted figure. Copyrights are complex and demand intense study by all.
