Dragon Quest 3 Remix for GBA
Don't worry. This isn't like the other posts whining about when dejap translation will come out.
I was just curious if there is currently a translation patch for Dragon Quest III remix for the gameboy system? And if there is one, could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Dragon Quest -> Dragon Warrior. That might be why you missed it.

you're right. Thats why I missed it. I already got it. Thanks.grinvader wrote:Dragon Quest -> Dragon Warrior. That might be why you missed it.
Graphics aren't too bad. Not sa good as SNES obviously but pretty darn good for a gameboy. Sound however, blah. I prefer internal synth patches as opposed to the dinky sine waves, square waves, and sawtooth waves sound gard of the gameboy and NES.

well I can understand his point, sort of. Since it isn't just Dragon Warrior 3. But Dragon Warrior 3 Remix. The key word is REMIX. So I can understand that he would want to play the REMIX with the REMIXED graphics used in SNES. If he wanted to simply play the original Dragon Warrior 3 with NES graphics, he could just play the original on NES. I have the original and I like it. But since its a REMIX, he wants to be able to play the remixed version with SNES graphics as it came out on the SNES. It was a SNES game when it was remixed. So porting it over to GBC is actually a downgrade.Louis Cypher wrote:Gasp! Graphics on par with the original NES release! SHOCK! HORROR! LET'S KILL SOMEONE!

Evan....the point is they should have waited and made it for the GBA instead of rushing it out to the GBC. After looking at graphics for Kingdon Hearts CoM, a GBA port would've no doubt been faptasic!
thats irrelevant. SInce they obviously have graphics in the game, it plays a role. And if they cared nothing about graphics, they would never have released the remake on superfamicam, nor would they have upgraded the graphics to 16 bit. Nor would they have even made the game in color. They would just have a text on a blank screen, describing the story.funkyass wrote:DQ was never about the graphics.

Agreed, but I don't really like the GBC versions due to not being able to fit any text on the screen(but damn doesn't that font look impressive on the GBC?) That really annoys me. That and like most portable RPGs having to deal with limited resolution don't let you see a big enough area at once for my tastes.
Other than those annoyances, the DW3 GBC remix is quite impressive for the system. I would still prefer the original NES version to the GBC remake though.

Well, of course, but then you have to realize that they released Dragon Quest 3 on GBC about a year before they officially released the GBA. They likely were well into deveolpment before the GBA was even announced.isamu wrote:Thank you.rudeboyrg wrote:
