Still cant save

Post by Hartattack32 »

I am trying to save a game, and it works fine until I have to shutdown zsnes, and then after that it wont work...I read some post here about saving problems and I came across this..

"Find the folder containing your game files, then check the folder properties. Make sure that the "read-only" property is not selected. If it is, de-select the box and click "OK". Check again to make sure that the property change sticks. If it didn't take, you must apply the changes to a parent directory (a folder higher in the nested structure)."

That seems to be my problem but I dont know how to make the change to a parent directory, I have all the roms and zsnes in a folder on my desktop,
Any help would be appreciated

You right click the parent directory and click on properties and you will see three check boxes saying something like. read-only, archive, hidden make sure all are un-checked.

Did you COPY them from CD or did you DRAG them from CD. You need to copy because dragging just makes a short cut and CD's are always read-only. Now try again to change it from read only. Also do you adminstrator privileges?

zsnes can stay read-only but you want your .srm file and rom file to stay of the read-only bandwagon.
