Using a gamepad to navigate the GUI

This really REALLY dumb but...

I'm using ZSNES Linux 1.42 (official release, not a WIP) and I can't figure this out.

I have my gamepad set up to control the GUI, but I can't seem to figure out how to go from one part of the Open ROM window (the section where you choose the directory to look in) and the other part (where you choose the file to open) wihout using the mouse. Can it be done?

I TOLD you it was dumb!

Press left or right on the gamepad.

Where to ? This is not a pad issue, it's a GUI issue.
