Default Key for Pause

Post by xamenus »

It seems logical to me that there should be a default key for pausing emulation; I suggest the 'P' key.

Reason: In the Config-->Saves menu, there are two pause options. If someone enables these without having a pause key defined, theoretically it would be impossible to unpause.

Also, the pause emulation seems like it would be a more popular feature anyway, enough to warrant a default key at least.

What's wrong with just pressing "ESC" to pause? At least then, you have the option to change a few settings, and you can also open a new ROM while doing so.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

Perhaps whatever options IceFox is talking about should use an ESC-like pause, if they already don't, so that ESC can be used to un-pause.

I'm just suggesting a default key, like how 'T' is the default for chat in netplay, and 'F2' and 'F4' are for saving and loading states, respectively.

How about the "Pause" key?
It would be just like Snes9x...

Why don't you just manually set the key that you want to pause yourself?

I have been waiting years for the pause emulation option to be included, so I was just happy to see it at last :)
