I remember trying out some Game Genie codes on DKC2 (1.0 NTSC, I believe) on the original SNES. When I started the game, it would show me the scene shown when you get a game over and say that there was a modification or something in the game, and it would ask me to turn the system off and wait 10 minutes.
After doing this, it would show the same scene once again and tell me that I was using a SNES copying device. In order to past this, I would have to put a "Master Code" into the Game Genie to bypass it.
Out of all the things ZSNES emulates, I noticed that it doesn't do this. To be more specific, it doesn't emulate how the SNES/game would react to outside hardware, such as the Game Genie. It would be closer to the original SNES if such an option was available to allow ZSNES to load games as if a real Game Genie was used on the game.
Any comments on this?

No, the game doesn't react to the codes, but the hardware. Allowing the ZSNES user to access such instances would be closer to the original hardware, as the original SNES reacts to the Game Genie device, yet ZSNES doesn't. I would never have known something like this existed in DKC2 if I didn't have a Game Genie for the SNES. So I think it would be reasonable for ZSNES to emulate this so that such screens can be accessed.
So to be more specific: When I put DKC2 into the Game Genie and play the game, I pass the code entry (I don't even have to enter any codes) and I'll get the aforeamentioned screen. This screen is impossible to access in ZSNES because it doesn't use hardware to implement codes. I really wish I could post a screenshot of it, but I can't because of this problem.

If you want to see a copy protect screen, just force the NTSC version to load in PAL mode or vica versa.

As for the Game Genie, ZSNES doesn't emulate the hardware of the Game Genie.
