Logitech Precision gamepad troubles

I purchased a Logitech Precision game controller (d-pad, 4-button psx looking pad) XP automatically detected it, it's caliberated, everything is hooked up right. The problem is when i open up zsnes and go to the input menu, the device list has: none, keyboard/joystick... listed, nothing about my gamepad so i can't use it. I download Jnes and a rom just to see if it would work and it can be configured and works just fine in Jnes.. please help, thanks

Click on Keyboard/Joystick and press set and then input the keys you want.
