I wanted to be able to play games and take snapshots without having to drop the joystick and hit a key on the keyboard to make it happen. I haven't taken a look at the source yet to see for myself but while I do I was hoping to get some feedback as to if this would be possible without making it a major project.
As to my own background I've written plenty of c/c++, wrote a mildly amusing game in x86 assembly(well at least amusing to me) and lately I'm writing primarily OO stuffs(I do alot of .NET stuff for work). So I'm not completely incapable of attempting something like this without having to officially request it from the dev team. In the meantime I'm going to go sniff around in the source and check the documentation to see where I'm at. Any pointers or tips are appreciated.
