The Down button

Post by psychoallie »

I have a logitech precision controller and everytime i try i configure input#1 it gets stuck. Here is what happens

configure>input #1
Highlight keyb/joyst
Click set
Click set keys

after this i am able to enter the up button on the directional pad for 'up' but when it comes to down i cant enter any buttons....in fact the whol emulator freezes up on me.

I calibrated my game pad and all buttons registered during calibration.

this happens in both versions of the emulator that i tried
and i also tried to re-dl it

Try using the latest WIP and see if the problem still occurs.

The Down Button

Post by SeerNo »

I have the exact same problem. I've tried zSNES 1.4.2 and the latest WIP. I've installed from scratch, rebooted, deleted config files, etc. and nothing seems to fix it.

Any ideas?

I have a logitech controller also.

Are you sure it isn't your controller?

Do you think that there is the exact same problem with three other controllers

The Down Button

Post by SeerNo »

Mine is a Logitech Dual Action Gamepad (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/produ ... ENTID=6951)

It works fine with every other aspect of windows (calibration, other games, other emulators, my own programs, etc.).

Also, the problem isn't the down button per se, it hangs after the first button you assign to the controller. For example, you can assign the first 3 directions to keyboard, 4th direction to joypad, and then it hangs on the 5th button to assign.

Doesn't windows abstract away the differences between the various joypads? How could it be specific to logitech gamepads? Bizarre...

maybe click the box below "down" and configure all the other keys 1 by 1 by clicking the box and pressing the controller.
