Nintendo DS as a ZSNES controller?

Gamepad acting up? Keyboard not responding properly? Can't get that other user to work? Read and post about it here.

Nintendo DS as a ZSNES controller?

Post by linedriveking22 »

There is a post below that says you can use a NDS as a controller on the zsnes. The main post is a link which redirects me to a porn site. This means I couldn't figure out how to use the NDS as a controller. If anyone has any idea on how to or a working link to a site that tells me how to, please let me know.

Thanks,

Requires a device that allows you to run downloaded software on your Nintendo DS. It also requires that you have a wireless access point/router and a PC that can run the software to communicate with the DS and simulate a virtual gamepad.

Seems like this would be easier with a PSP, which already has a USB mode. Not sure if it would be possible to detect as an HID-compliant game controller though, even with a firmware update.

What is the device to run downloaded software on the DS? I have a wireless access point. How do I know if i have PC that can run the software to communicate with the DS and simulate a virtual gameboard?

I also have a Sony PSP, is there anyway to use that as a controller?

Thanks,

There is currently no way that I know of to use a P.S.P as a game controller for a PC, though it could certainly be done the same way the DS does it.

You can buy writable flash cartridges to play downloaded ROMs and homebrew stuff on any Game Boy, but DS-compatible devices usually do not have built-in storage. The adapters that I have seen plug into the GBA slot and have a slot for an SD card (like the ones that store pictures for some digital cameras). There are probably more elegant DS devices now. You can get them from the same sites that sell modchips and flash cartridges.
