laggy zsnesw

Post by waycious »

i'm using zsnes 1.36 for windows, and for some reason its really laggy on my computer. No matter what the resolution is its laggy, even before i load a game. It lags when any dialogue box is open. Games are still playable, but its really annoying. This has been happening since i tried zsnes on this computer. I know my computer is fast enough, but i dunno how to fix this.

Are you using ZSNES 1.36 from http://www.zsnes.com/ or are you using one the WIP versions from http://www.ipherswipsite.com/zsnes/. If the former, get the latter and see if that makes things better.

I download the latest WIP version, and its still pretty laggy. I didn't think it was necessary to post my specs because i'm pretty sure my computer surpasses the minimum requirements, but its an amd athlon 1.1ghz, 1.5 gigs ram, saphire radeon 9000 or some crap. But the laggyness comes and goes i.e. lag for 5 seconds, no lag for 5 seconds etc.

edit: this happens all the time, regardless of if there's a game loaded.

Are you using any background processes? Like Bittorrent or an Antivirus?

Hmm... If you're using WinXP, do you have System Restore enabled?

Are you using image filters?

sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.
