Noob Question, Netplay over Lan

Post by jlacroix »

Hello everyone, I hope this isn't a redundant question.

First of all, I LOVE Zsnes like crazy. Best program ever in my opinion. I'm not sucking up, it's true. Anyway...

I am running a Lan in my home. Three PC's, each one is running Ubuntu Dapper with all the latest updates.

I was hoping there is a way to play two player games on two computers in this house that are connected by a Lan and a Belkin router. All three computers can share files with eachother no problem, and Ubuntu sees all the computers in the Network window. The computers are 100% networked and ready, if this is a possibility.

I tried to do this before, but I only seen howto's for the internet, not using a Lan with 192.168.x.x IP addresses.

Any help with this would rule, assuming it can be done.

Just choose someone as a server, then just use it's IP address to access from the client. That's all. I have done it. Yes, the 192.168.XX.XX address.

Wow, that worked! Thanks. Not sure why it didn't work before. Sweet!
