Is that black in the tree branches actually supposed to be there?

I have been known to be wrong, though, and it has been awhile since i've actually played. this is just the game i use to make sure that i set my paths right, since i know within 5 seconds whether the ips was applied or not. hopefully i didn't just turn off a bg layer on accedent.

athlon t-bird 1.4
win xp sp2
ati radeon 9550 with catalyst 6.8
512 MB PC133 RAM

using the 9/28 WIP from ipher's marvelous site.

Confirmed. I also get the black areas in the tree branches.

I'm thinking the Battletoad fix broke this.
