I've had my old SNES sitting on my desk for a few months now because I want to hook it up, but somehow the cables for it went missing. I was planning on buying some new AV/power cables online, but I wanted to make sure I got the right ones.
Do the SNES, N64 and Gamecube all use the same style of AV cable? Whenever I search for SNES cables I get links to these "THREE IN ONE SUPER CABLE" thingies.
Can I use any DC 10v power source? Or do I need to buy one specificially designed for the SNES?

Palin: As long as you have a AC/DC adapter that outputs 10volts and greater than or equal to 850mA, the plug that plugs into the back of the SNES will fit, and the polarity matches, you should be good to go
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

You can probably pick up the 3-in-1 S-video/composite combo cable at Walmart or any other retailer with a video game section for under $10. I've been using one with my GameCube, and occaisionally my SNES, for years and it works just fine. Just ignore the PS2 and XBOX ends and composite video end. Getting an actual Nintendo-only S-video cable is probably going to be a lot more expensive.
