my buddy got an ipod video, and couldn't figure the shit out. I told him itunes was probably crap, so I tried using musicmatch jukebox and windows media player. they didn't work so I end up using itunes. this piece of software is like fucking real player or aol. what a piece of shit. apple allows you to access the ipod like a usb disk drive, yet forces you to use their bloated realplayer like software to transfer mp3s.

I just spent 5 hours converting matrix revolutions to mp4 whatever to watch on this hunk of shit. now itunes is telling me it must convert it again to play on the ipos. it's taking forever just to convert a 2 minute clip wtf!?!

fuck this piece of shit, I don't know why anyone would ever buy this overhyped garbage. I thought apple made products easy to use and all I get is fucking headaches?

APPLE SUCKS. JUST GIVE UP AND GET OUT OF THE THE INDUSTRY BEFORE I SHOVE THIS IPOS UP YOUR ASS.

maybe the hardware is sweet, but the software must have been programmed by high school students.

either use their bloated software to convert to their stupid proprietary format or gtfo

also, if you try to transfer an mp3 to it through windows explorer, it won't find

Oh well, at least I only wasted $120 on it. Could be worse.

That's one of the many reasons they go out of their way to advertise their crap in any form they can. Name an object, form of media, or spokesperson and they've already used it/him/her/whatever to advertise. They even go as far as giving away free ones in packages with other products. The only reason I went and got one is because it came in a package with my cellphone, yes it was free.

I would use Winamp to transfer songs to an iPod. It's very easy to do it that way. And no, I don't have a MP3 player.

I honestly hate iTunes but I use it , I hate it even more cuz I reformatted my computer somewhat recently , my iTunes playlist was gone , so iTunes assumes that since I don't have some songs on my computer anymore that it should wipe my entire iPod since the playlist was empty...

And still to this day , I don't know how to get songs back from the ipod to the computer , even though I was told you could with official apple software...

I use an alternative. Its not wonderful but it gets the job done. I just use yamipod. Besides being free, it will allow you to download music back down from your ipod.

one of the many annoying things about itunes is that its one of the easist things to use if you are using OSX.

On windows its a POS, and there is alot of Free software out there just to work the ipod.

here I am 26 hours later STILL fucking with this piece of shit. I have tried over seven alternative peices of transfer software, and they all suck. yes anapod seems like my next best bet. I don't like how you can't name what 'folder' your movies go into, they just all go into 'music videos' using anapod. and also I cannot find a morely free full version outside of buying it. I've read terrible complaints about their support.

redchairsoftware has been pretty good by me. I've only ever had two problems and I got replies back withing 45 mins of sending them in.

Heh , my 360 and iPod are always hooked up together , but recently it's been pissing me off , my 360 will freeze and give 3 red lights , I do as guides say and reconnect all AV and power cables and my 360 still wants to be a bitch...

But my 360 may be sol doff and I'll get a Wii and wait on 360

I'm gonna give rockbox a try , more codecs n all , but it can't be much worse than official apple fimware...
